1. Where is A Lin Stream?

A Lin Stream – also known by locals as Daq Pling Stream or A La, is located on Route 71, in Hong Van and Hong Trung communes, A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province. From the center of Hue city, you only need to travel about 90 km to the West to reach this pristine destination; while from A Luoi town, the distance is shortened to just 10–20 km. The stream is located near the Ho Chi Minh Trail, about 500–700 m to the Northeast, in Tor-ay village (Hong Trung commune).

The journey to A Lin is also an exciting experience. From Hue, travel along Highway 49 towards A Luoi. When reaching the town, continue along the Ho Chi Minh Trail for about 20 km to arrive. The road leading to the stream is quite narrow and bumpy, making motorbikes an ideal means of transport for those who love adventure. If going by car, you should choose an off-road vehicle for easier navigation. Travel time from Hue usually takes about 2–3 hours, depending on weather conditions.

A small note: you should check the weather forecast before departing, as mountain roads can easily become slippery after rain. If you need support, you can contact the A Lin Stream tourist site directly via phone number: 0816 317 508 (Mai Ly) for detailed instructions.

A Lin Stream stands out with its pristine beauty, where crystal-clear water winds between large boulders and vast primeval forests. The stream water is cool year-round, flowing from the upper source with white foaming waterfalls, creating lakes over 30 m² wide and more than 2 m deep – ideal for escaping the heat and relaxing. On both sides of the stream are sheer cliffs, lush greenery, and blooming wild flowers, bringing a peaceful atmosphere with little urban noise.

In particular, the stream is home to many precious fish species such as stream goby, sanh fish, along with a diverse ecosystem from the Truong Son forest. On the way to the stream, you can visit ANor Waterfall not far away, featuring a waterfall over 120 m high and a large lake at its foot, creating a majestic natural picture. This is an emerging eco-destination, not yet heavily commercialized, helping you fully feel the tranquility of the A Luoi mountains and forests.
