Detailed itinerary

  • 08:00 AM – Pick up in Dong Hoi

    The driver and tour guide pick up guests in Dong Hoi city center, preparing to begin a journey exploring two contrasting sides: majestic natural beauty and historic wartime legacy.

  • 09:00 AM – Pick up in Phong Nha

    The vehicle continues picking up guests in the Phong Nha area, then departs for Paradise Cave – known as the "underground palace".

  • 10:00 AM – Visit Paradise Cave

    Located in the core zone of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, Paradise Cave features a magnificent stalactite system extending over 1 km with the longest wooden pathway in Asia. Discovered in 2005, it is considered one of the most beautiful dry caves in the world.

    The tour guide will share insights into its geological formation, cave structure, and million-year-old stalactites.

  • 12:00 PM – Lunch at a local restaurant

    Relax and enjoy specialties from the limestone mountain region.

  • 01:00 PM – Depart for Quang Tri via the Ho Chi Minh Highway

    Traveling along the Truong Son mountain range, guests will learn about the strategic role of the Ho Chi Minh Trail – the vital supply line for the Southern battlefield during the anti-American resistance war.

  • 03:00 PM – Visit Ben Hai River – Hien Luong Bridge (DMZ)

    Hien Luong Bridge is a historical witness to the partition of North and South Vietnam for over 20 years. Visitors will learn about:

    • The 17th Parallel – the temporary demilitarized line established by the 1954 Geneva Accords
    • The "loudspeaker war" between the two banks
    • Symbols of division: the two-color bridge paint, the opposing flagpoles, the white boundary line, etc.
    • The current historical site serves as an educational landmark and has been authentically restored for visitors.
  • 04:00 PM – Visit Quang Tri Ancient Citadel

    Famous for the 81-day-and-night battle of 1972 – one of the most fierce battles of the Vietnam War.

    Originally a Nguyen Dynasty fortress, it is now a memorial for thousands of fallen soldiers. Visitors will hear accounts of the battlefield, intense artillery bombardments, and the resilient spirit of those who fought to defend the revolutionary flag.

  • 05:00 PM – Visit La Vang Holy Land

    The largest Catholic pilgrimage center in Vietnam, rich in religious history and architecture. It served as a spiritual connecting point amid the former conflict zone.

  • 06:00 PM – Tour ends, drop-off in Hue or Quang Binh

    Depending on your needs, you can choose to be dropped off in:

    • Hue (city center)
    • Dong Hoi
