Before stepping through Ngo Mon Gate and starting to explore the space that was once the center of power of the Nguyen Dynasty, you should clearly understand the ticket prices to be more proactive about your schedule and costs. In 2026, Hue Imperial City entrance tickets are categorized by age, in which young children get free entry or discounted rates.
Adults and children aged 12 and above: 200,000 VND/ticket
Children aged 7 to 12: 40,000 VND/ticket
Children under 7 years old: Free admission provided they are accompanied by an adult to ensure safety during the tour.
Note:
The ticket price includes entry to the Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities and Kien Trung Palace, so visitors do not need to buy separate tickets for these attractions.
Tickets are only valid on the day of purchase, and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Therefore, if you have purchased tickets, you should proactively arrange your schedule to have enough time to explore the Imperial City instead of just stopping by briefly.
Opening hours are usually around 6:30–18:00 in summer and 7:00–17:30 in winter. Actual operating hours may be adjusted according to season, events, or special activities at the heritage site, so checking before your trip will help avoid arriving when it's closed.
