Detailed itinerary

• DAY 1: PHONG NHA – 20 QUYET THANG ROAD – AREM VILLAGE – KLING CAVE – RUC CA ROONG CAVE

  Morning

  • The expedition begins with a pick-up in Phong Nha, followed by a scenic drive along the historic 20 Quyet Thang Road — a legendary branch of the Truong Son (Ho Chi Minh) Trail.

  • En route, pause to pay homage at Eight Ladies Cave (Hang Tam Co), a national historic site commemorating the brave sacrifice of eight young volunteers during the war. Continue to Nurse Cave (Hang Y Te) to hear the touching story of a resilient field medic who tended to wounded soldiers under grueling wartime conditions.

  • Upon arriving at Arem Village, attend a comprehensive safety briefing and gear check before heading into the primary jungle.

  • Begin trekking beneath dense jungle canopies, wading through pristine streams, and traversing rugged limestone pathways deep within Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. Stop at Vom Cave — once a traditional refuge of the Arem people — to discover the rich history, customs, and unique heritage of one of Vietnam's smallest ethnic minority groups.

  Afternoon

  • Arrive at the Kling Cave campsite and enjoy a hearty lunch surrounded by untouched natural scenery.

  • Afterward, continue on a short trek to Ruc Ca Roong Cave — a stunning cavern featuring a crystalline underground stream, expansive stalactite formations, and a tranquil atmosphere. Explore the cavern floor, walking along natural rock bars and shallow streams.

  • Enjoy swimming, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), or simply relaxing in the cool, refreshing water before heading back to Kling Cave. At the campsite, pitch your tent on the fine sandbanks inside the cave, then spend time unwinding, bathing in the stream, or taking in the serene surroundings.

  Evening

  • Savor a warm, freshly prepared dinner right inside the cave, followed by group bonding activities, stories, and laughter with fellow travelers under the soaring cavern dome. Overnight camping inside Kling Cave.

• DAY 2: A CU CAVE – AREM WALL – TREK TO AREM VILLAGE – PHONG NHA

  Morning

  • Wake up to the fresh sounds of the jungle and enjoy a energizing breakfast at the campsite before setting off for the day's adventure.

  • Trek approximately 1.3 km to A Cu Cave — a secluded limestone cave nestled deep in the primeval forest near Kling Cave. Step inside to admire breathtaking stalactites and stalagmites sculpted over millions of years. As you navigate the cool chambers, your guide will share fascinating insights into the area's geological evolution and unique ecosystem.

  Afternoon

  • Return to the campsite for lunch and a short rest before tackling the "Arem Wall Challenge" (optional activity). Soaring approximately 30 meters high, this thrilling natural rock-climbing experience is conducted under the strict supervision of professional guides with certified safety equipment.

  • Following the activity, pack up camp and trek back to Arem Village along shaded jungle trails. A transfer vehicle will drive you back to Phong Nha, marking the conclusion of your memorable 2-Day, 1-Night Arem Jungle Trekking & Cave Camping Expedition.
