Detailed itinerary
The vehicle and tour guide will pick you up at designated meeting points such as the railway station, airport, bus station, private residence, or hotel. Depart for Phong Nha; along the way, the tour guide will share interesting insights about Quang Binh.
At the central boat station, you will board a boat to travel upstream along the Son River to the entrance of Phong Nha Cave. This is a wonderful experience where you can admire the stunning natural scenery on both riverbanks.
Inside the cave, you will visit both the dry cave and the wet cave. The wet cave stretches for over 1 km and features the longest underground river in Southeast Asia, offering an exciting journey as you glide along by boat. Throughout the tour, you will marvel at the unique stalactites and stalagmites in diverse, fascinating shapes, from flower-like forms to vivid natural sculptures.
The vehicle will take you to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring Phong Nha specialties, followed by a short rest on site.
After lunch, the group will board the vehicle to travel to the bicycle pick-up point. The tour guide will provide instructions on how to use the bicycles and explain safety rules for the activity. Guests will receive their bikes and inspect the equipment. First-time cyclists will also receive detailed guidance.
The cycling route takes you along charming village paths, past lush green fields and traditional local homes. You can stop to take photos and enjoy the fresh country air.
At the farm, you will participate in a variety of activities including:
- Duck herding: Learn how to care for ducks and herd them into the fields.
- Water buffalo riding: Enjoy the thrilling experience of riding a water buffalo across open spaces.
- Fishing: Try your hand at fishing at the pond near the farm.
- Farm tour: Explore various crops and learn about local agriculture.
- Light snack: Enjoy light refreshments featuring rustic local treats such as fried spring rolls, bananas, peanuts, watermelon, pineapple, etc.
After concluding the activities, you will cycle back to the gathering point and board the vehicle to return to Phong Nha or Dong Hoi. Conclude your memorable 1-day exploration of Phong Nha.
