My Tho – Can Tho – Con Son Tour 2 Days 1 Night | Orchard & River Culture Experience

Detailed itinerary

• DAY 01 SAIGON – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAN THO (2 Meals)

  Morning: 07:00 – 07:15: The bus and tour guide will pick you up at the meeting point in District 1 – Ho Chi Minh City to depart for Tien Giang, starting the 2-DAY MEKONG DELTA TOUR. 

  You will visit VINH TRANG PAGODA – One of the largest and oldest pagodas in Southwestern Vietnam 

  Arriving in My Tho City, transfer to April 30th Pier to board the Tien River Tourist Boat. Experience the vastness of the Tien River while admiring the view of the four islets: DRAGON, UNICORN, TURTLE, AND PHOENIX. The boat cruises along floating fish rafts for visitors to learn about local fish farming and admire the Rach Mieu Bridge.  

  locals, ENJOY SEASONAL FRUITS AND LISTEN TO DON CA TAI TU a signature cultural folk music art form of the region, followed by a visit to the BEE FARM TO ENJOY HONEY LEMON TEA 

  Next, board a HAND-ROWED SAMPAN TO EXPERIENCE ROWING A THREE-PLANK BOAT weaving through water coconut groves, feeling the pristine natural scenery of the orchards. Return to the larger boat and cruise down the Tien River to Ben Tre province to visit a TRADITIONAL BEN TRE COCONUT CANDY WORKSHOP in Tan Thach commune. Take a horse carriage/tuk-tuk to tour the village roads of Tan Thach commune and admire the fruit orchards and simple life of the locals in the land of coconuts.

  Lunch: Enjoy lunch at a rustic local orchard restaurant with specialties such as: Crispy fried Elephant Ear Fish served with rice paper, puffed fried sticky rice, coconut-steamed shrimp, fried chicken, etc.

  Afternoon: Return to My Tho by motorboat. Afterwards, depart for Can Tho City, where you will check in to your hotel to relax.

  Evening: Enjoy dinner at the CAN THO CRUISE RESTAURANT, enjoying musical entertainment and night views of the Hau River. When the cruise docks, feel free to stroll and explore Can Tho City at night. Overnight at the hotel.

• DAY 02 CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET - CON SON - FRUIT ORCHARD (2 Meals)

  Morning: Wake up early at 05:00:  The tour guide will accompany you to Can Tho pier to visit CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET in the early morning. Here, explore and learn about the unique riverland lifestyle where hundreds of boats trade local products, and interact with Western Vietnamese traders. 

  07:15 - 07:30: Return to the mainland. Enjoy breakfast. 

  09:00: The vehicle takes you to the boat dock to transfer to the Con Son tourist area:

  - Board a boat to visit fish rafts on the Hau River: Over 30 fish rafts of various sizes stretch nearly a kilometer long, braving the waters of the Mekong River with many fish species such as basa, spiny eel, giant barb... but mainly featherback fish.

  - Koi fish massage & enjoy Featherback fish cakes: Watch thousands of colorful Koi fish and experience the fascinating Koi fish massage. After the massage, savor delicious Featherback fish cakes.

  - Visit seasonal fruit orchards: At Con Son, visitors will visit orchards of rambutan, longan, pomelo, mangosteen, Burmese grape, guava, etc., laden with fruit, and hand-pick fresh fruits to enjoy right in the garden. 

  - Experience the Flying Snakehead Fish area, where you can admire the unique performance of snakehead fish jumping above the water—a truly unique and beautiful sight—and visit the guava garden to enjoy fresh guavas straight from the branches.

  Lunch: Have lunch at CON SON COMMUNITY TOURISM VILLAGE featuring authentic local specialties. 

  Afternoon: 14:00: Depart for Ho Chi Minh City – On the way back, visit the PURPLE HOUSE FILM STUDIO – highlighted by its dominant purple color theme and numerous photo spots for check-ins (at your own expense).
