The group gathers for an introduction to the Phong Nha Cave Complex and the 2,000-hectare Survival Valley. Information on the trekking route, safety guidelines, and a briefing of the itinerary will be shared. Afterwards, the team conducts logistical preparations and warm-up exercises before commencing the trek.
09:30: Begin the deep jungle trek into Survival Valley
The group embarks on a foot trek through dense jungle across varied terrains—ranging from flat pathways and steep ascents to jagged karst limestone formations—covering approximately 4.5 km. Along the trail, travelers immerse themselves in spectacular mountain scenery and the distinctive bamboo forests of Thung Tre.
11:00: Arrive at the Dark Cave Back Entrance
The group stops for a light refreshment, equips themselves with specialized caving gear, and prepares to venture 1 km deep into the Dark Cave Back Entrance.
11:30: Explore Dark Cave
Travelers explore the rare moss-covered stalactite formations, a unique feature found in only a handful of caves. Spectacular arrays of stalactites, stalagmites, and magnificent cave pearls will be the highlights of this trek. This is a wonderful opportunity to capture stunning photos after trekking approximately 6.5 km.
13:30: Conclude the caving session and enjoy lunch
The group takes a break and savors lunch, preparing for the afternoon's activities.
14:30: Trek to the E Cave campsite
Continue trekking through the forest to reach the campsite at E Cave, famous for its emerald-green waters, celebrated as the most scenic in Phong Nha.
16:00: Check in to tents at the E Cave campsite
Upon reaching the campsite, guests receive their tents and settle in for rest.
17:00: Stream swimming and Fish Massage at E Cave
Enjoy leisure time swimming in the natural stream and experience a relaxing fish massage at the cave mouth, subject to actual fish populations in the cave.
17:30: BBQ dinner
Gather for a cozy barbecue feast in the heart of nature.
18:30: Campfire gathering and stargazing
Following dinner, join fun activities around the campfire and indulge in stargazing, weather permitting.
