Hang Tam Co - Quang Binh

Hang Tam Co, also known as the Cave of 8 Young Volunteers, is located at Km 16, Route 20 Quyet Thang, Tan Trach Commune, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province. This is part of the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail (Truong Son Road), which was once the vital supply artery from the North to the South during the anti-American resistance war (1955-1975).

On November 14, 1972, eight young volunteers from Company 217, Division 559, originally from Hoang Hoa, Thanh Hoa, were filling bomb craters when they came under intense attack by American aircraft.
