Con Co Island Tour 2 Days 1 Night – Experience the Pristine Island

• DAY 1: DONG HOI/HUE - CUA VIET PORT - CON CO ISLAND (Lunch, Dinner)

  04:00: Pick-up from locations in Dong Hoi City and Hue City to transfer to Cua Viet Port.

  07:30: Arrive at Cua Viet Port, complete check-in procedures to board the boat to the island. The Con Co tourist boat ride takes about 60 to 90 minutes across the sea.

  08:00: The boat departs for the island.

  09:00: Arrive at Con Co Island. The vehicle and tour guide will take you to check in and drop off your luggage. Rest briefly before starting the sightseeing tour.

  09:30: First, visit and take photos at the Sovereignty Flagpole, the Island District Traditional House, and the Memorial Monument area.

  The National Flagpole on Con Co Island stands 38.8 meters high with a flag measuring 24 square meters, making it one of the largest flagpoles among Vietnam's coastal islands.   The Island District Traditional House plays an important role as a repository and display center for artifacts and historical photos of Con Co throughout periods of national defense, island protection, construction, and development. It also serves as a venue for educational and political activities on revolutionary traditions for soldiers and citizens, as well as a key stop for tourists visiting the island.

  Here, you have the opportunity to learn more about the history of the island's formation and development, while viewing specimens of various marine species on display.

  The Memorial Monument honoring the Heroic Martyrs of Con Co Island district covers an area of over 1,000m², stands 28.5m high, and honors 104 fallen soldiers. Two artistic bas-reliefs on either side depict parts of the battle to defend and supply Con Co. 
  During the fight and supply missions for Con Co, 104 soldiers, militia members, and local people gave their lives for the enduring presence of this small island.

  11:00: Enjoy an authentic local lunch featuring fresh signature seafood from the island.

  12:30: Return to your room to rest and recharge before the afternoon activities.

  14:30: Begin an island-wide tour by electric buggy. Con Co Island is stunning with many scenic "chill" spots. You can bring extra outfits to snap memorable photos; every coastal corner on the island is picturesque and worth capturing.

  The first stop is Ben Nghe – the best spot to catch the island's first morning rays, deeply tied to stories of local fishermen's lives and the marine ecosystem. 

  The electric buggy continues past Song Huong Beach and Tranh Beach. Along the way, you can stop to take photos, admire, and learn about the island's unique flora—recognized as Vietnam Heritage Trees—such as the Square-fruited Barringtonia Tree, Phong Ba Tree, and Lien Diep Dong Tree, which have become strong symbols of island survival.

  Don't miss out on capturing beautiful photos with the Phong Ba tree and admiring the square-shaped Barringtonia fruit.

  15:00: Take a drive through the primeval forest and check in at the Lighthouse and Thai Van A Hill to enjoy a panoramic view of Con Co Island from a height of 63 meters. Here, climb up the Lighthouse to take in the majestic beauty of Con Co.

  You will continue to hear the guide share stories about Hero Thai Van A, who guarded the skies of Con Co during the fiercest years of the resistance war against America to save the country.

  16:00:  Return to change clothes and prepare for a boat excursion to swim and snorkel to see coral reefs around Con Co Island. 

  The boat and local fishermen will take you to the coral reef, where you will be guided on how to wear snorkeling gear and safety equipment before diving to admire the coral reefs.

  17:30: Return to the hotel to shower and change.

  18:30: Have dinner at the restaurant. Enjoy famous dishes from Con Co Island, featuring the legendary King Oyster—a giant oyster nearly ten times larger than regular oysters, rarely found anywhere else.

  Evening: Enjoy free time to stroll around the island at night, meet and chat with the warm, friendly, and hospitable local islanders.

  Overnight stay at a guesthouse on the island.

• DAY 2: ISLAND SUNRISE - SEA GRAPE HARVESTING - RETURN TO MAINLAND (Breakfast)

  05:00: Walk to Ben Nghe  at your own pace to watch the sunrise. Here, you can experience harvesting fresh green sea grapes, which you can take home to prepare during the day.

  07:00: Return to the guesthouse to freshen up and enjoy a light breakfast (usually tapioca noodle soup or squid instant noodles). 

  08:00: Board the speedboat to return to Cua Viet Port.

  09:00: Arrive at Cua Viet Port. End of trip.
