Sovaba Travel will pick you up at locations such as hotels, train stations, and airports in Dong Hoi. For guests arriving early on morning trains or buses, we will transfer you to the Sovaba Travel office to rest and relax before departure.
Depart from Dong Hoi to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. The first stop will take you to Paradise Cave, one of the largest dry caves in Asia, also known as the "Underground Palace".
- Visitors travel 1.6 km by electric cart, then continue walking up the mountainside to reach the entrance of Paradise Cave. Although the entrance is narrow, the interior opens up into a vast space with ceilings 40-60 m high and the widest point reaching up to 120 m. The cool atmosphere inside feels like a completely different world compared to the summer heat of Quang Binh.
- A wooden staircase system leads visitors into a wonderful world full of colors and shapes of stalactites. Soft LED lighting highlights the scenery without destroying its natural beauty. True to its moniker "Underground Palace," the cave causes awe with its massive stalactites, stalagmites, and unique rock formations.
- Inside, you will see nature's masterpieces, from stalagmites resembling flowers and plant shoots to cascades of stalactites hanging from the ceiling. Magnificent rock formations such as the Central Highlands Communal House, Cham Pa Tower, and Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva each possess their own unique features. In 2019, Paradise Cave was recognized as the "Cave with the most unique and magnificent stalactite and stalagmite system in Asia." After two hours of exploration, visitors will follow the same path back to the parking lot, completing the tour with unforgettable memories.
After visiting Paradise Cave, guests will be invited to a restaurant inside the National Park area to enjoy lunch with local specialties in a peaceful and airy atmosphere.
- After enjoying lunch with local specialties at the restaurant, visitors continue their journey to Phong Nha Cave. From the restaurant, the group moves to the dragon boat pier on the Son River. Here, visitors board a dragon boat to begin a 30-minute cruise along the cool blue river, surrounded by stunning natural scenery.
- Sitting on the boat, visitors will feel the tranquility of the landscape, observing riverside villages and majestic limestone mountain ranges in the distance. The river leads to the mouth of Phong Nha Cave, where the wonder of nature gradually reveals itself through the grand and mysterious beauty of stalactite and stalagmite formations.
- Stepping inside, visitors will be overwhelmed by the magical shimmering beauty of the stalactite system illuminated by flashlights. Rock curtains, stalagmites, and stalactites glisten like diamonds, creating unique shapes. The deeper you go, the more amazed you will be by underground sandbanks, underground lakes, and sparkling rock beds, all offering a fairytale-like landscape.
- While exploring famous grottos such as Bi Ky, Co Tien, and Cung Dinh, you will have the opportunity to take memorable photos among magnificent stalactites that clearly showcase unique geomorphological values. - Tips for driver and guide:
- If guests are satisfied with the service of the driver and guide, they can tip them voluntarily. This tip is completely optional but traditionally starts from a minimum of 50,000 VND/guest/day.
