Detailed itinerary
The vehicle and tour guide will pick up the group at 175 Pham Ngu Lao, Pham Ngu Lao Ward, District 1, to depart for the 1-day Saigon City - Cu Chi tour.
The group begins the journey exploring renowned destinations across the city, including:
- WAR REMNANTS MUSEUM: A repository that preserves and displays wartime relics and historical exhibits.
- INDEPENDENCE PALACE (REUNIFICATION PALACE): An alluring attraction that cannot be missed when visiting Saigon. The Independence Palace features distinctive architecture symbolizing the enduring prosperity of the nation.
- NOTRE-DAME CATHEDRAL: One of the landmark symbols that define Ho Chi Minh City. Built in 1880, Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica is not only the most prominent religious center in the city, but also an exceptional French architectural masterpiece in Vietnam.
HO CHI MINH CITY POST OFFICE: Located at 2 Paris Commune Square, District 1. The post office was constructed between 1886 and 1891 by the celebrated architect Gustave Eiffel. The building's exterior is adorned with rectangular panels honoring the pioneers of the telegraph and electrical industries. The Central Post Office is currently the largest post office in Vietnam.
After concluding the four attractions in downtown Saigon, the vehicle and tour guide will take the group to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in the city.
The group departs for Hoc Mon to visit CU CHI TUNNELS – learn how Vietnamese guerrillas built, lived, and fought inside the underground tunnels:
Explore Cu Chi Tunnels – an extensive underground defense network located in Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City. Construction commenced in the 1940s during the resistance war against the French. Here, visitors will witness firsthand homemade primitive weapons, bamboo booby traps, crawl through underground tunnel passages, and watch local residents make rice paper and rice wine. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to experience shooting at the tunnel firing range (at own expense).
Upon emerging from the tunnels, you will savor the famous boiled cassava of the area. This was a staple food that sustained tens of thousands of soldiers and civilians throughout the arduous years of combat. Moreover, at the Cu Chi restaurant, guests can also savor celebrated dishes made from local Cu Chi beef (at own expense).
Concluding the 1-day SAIGON - CU CHI TOUR. Guests will preserve memorable keepsake photos with fellow travelers on this journey. Finally, the vehicle and guide will transfer the group back to the city center, concluding the itinerary. The guide will say goodbye and look forward to welcoming you on future journeys.
