• From central Dong Ha, travel along National Route 1A to the 17th Parallel historic site (Hien Luong Bridge - Ben Hai River).
• Continue to Vinh Kim commune and ask local people for directions to Mui Treo.
• The final stretch is a dirt road about 300m long, passing through primary forest, offering an exciting sense of adventure.

Route 2: Via the coastal road

• From Dong Ha, follow Trans-Asia Highway towards Cua Viet Port, then turn left onto the coastal road to Cua Tung Beach.
• Continue to the main gate of the Vinh Moc Tunnels historic site, go another 300m to a junction, and turn left onto a concrete road.
• After about 1km, you will reach a junction with a gravel road on the right. Continue for another 1km along a narrow trail under the forest canopy to reach Mui Treo.

Means of transportation

• Personal vehicle: Motorbikes or cars are popular choices, suitable for those who want the freedom to explore. The forest road is relatively easy to navigate, but be careful as some sections are bumpy.
• Public transport: You can take a passenger bus to Vinh Linh district center or rent a motorbike at nearby tourist spots such as Cua Tung or Dong Ha.

Note: The road to Mui Treo has many leftover war-era bomb craters, reminding visitors of the heroic history of Quang Tri land. Bring drinking water, snacks, and essential items as this area remains pristine with few services available.
