Linh Ung Bai But Pagoda (or Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda) is the largest and most famous pagoda among the "Three Linh Ung Pagodas" of Da Nang. Situated on the Son Tra Peninsula at an elevation of nearly 700 meters above sea level, the pagoda boasts a prime location facing the sea with its back against the mountain, bringing a serene atmosphere and panoramic views of Da Nang City. The main highlight is the 67-meter-tall Lady Buddha statue – the tallest statue in Vietnam, standing with her back against the mountain, facing the ocean, holding a vase of nectar as if praying for calm seas and peaceful lives for local fishermen. Surrounding the pagoda is picturesque natural scenery, harmoniously combining Buddhist architecture with lush green mountains and forests, giving a sense of peace and tranquility.
The specific location is on the mountain slopes of Son Tra Peninsula, in Tho Quang Ward, Son Tra District. To get here from central Da Nang, cross the Han River Bridge, follow Pham Van Dong Street to Hoang Sa Street, then turn left and go straight for about 10 km. Popular means of transport are motorbikes or cars, taking about 30-45 minutes. If traveling from Hoi An, you can follow Truong Sa – Vo Nguyen Giap – Hoang Sa Street.

The ideal time to visit is from March to September (dry season), when the weather is clear, making it easy to admire the panoramic view without fog obstruction. Main activities here include visiting the pagoda, praying, taking check-in photos with sea and mountain views, or participating in Buddhist festivals if visiting on special occasions.
