Nam O Fish Sauce Craft Village is located in Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City (about 17km northwest of the city center). This is an ancient village that served as the southern gateway of Dai Viet.
Fish sauce making in Nam O has existed for over 400 years, originating when the first inhabitants settled here and harvested the abundant seafood from the ocean. Nam O fish sauce is not only famous for its quality but is also associated with a historic period, once presented as a tribute to the King.

- In 2019, Nam O fish sauce craft was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
- In 2024, Nam O fish sauce became one of three fish sauce products nationwide to be granted a Geographical Indication protection certificate for "Nam O" by the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam, confirming the prestige, reputation, and origin of the product.
Currently, the craft village is thriving with 71 members, including 3 cooperatives and numerous facilities investing in and applying modern technology to enhance quality. Each year, the village supplies around 300,000 liters of fish sauce to the market.
